Diabetes educators from across the country will convene in Philadelphia August 7-10 to address the ways that patient education and self-management of diabetes can reduce health care expenditures and positively impact the public health.
Physicians will be able to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits at the 2013 annual meeting of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE). This year marks the first time that CME will be available for physicians at AADE’s meeting, which is being held August 7-10 in Philadelphia.
National Diabetes Education Week, which runs through November 10, raises awareness of the role that diabetes educators play in helping patients self-manage the disease and reduce healthcare expenses.
