Location and Lodging

The site of the 2008 AADE Annual Meeting and Exhibition is the Washington Convention Center. Various hotels and room rates have been reserved for the meeting. The cut-off date for hotel reservations is July 16, 2008. After that time, rooms may be reserved on a space-available basis.  For more information, or to make a reservation, please click here.

Renewal of Membership

Notices for renewal and membership profiles will be mailed prior to the meeting. As a service for your convenience, you may pay your membership renewal dues with your Annual Meeting registration. Payment of the non-member registration fee WILL NOT renew current membership.

Coroprate Symposia and Product Theatres

Corporate Symposia are being held on Thursday, August 7, and Friday, August 8, and are supported by industry educational grants. Product Theatres are being held on Wednesday, August 6. Pre-registration for these programs is not required. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-Conference Programs

Pre-conference programs, held in the morning and afternoon on Tuesday, August 5, are optional and cost an additional $150 each. Annual Meeting registration is NOT required to attend these programs. These programs offer attendees a chance to earn additional CE credit, interact with faculty and peers, and receive casebased or hands-on training experience. Pre-registration is required and will be available soon on the website.

AADE Closing Banquet

Tickets are required for the AADE Closing Banquet, held Saturday evening, August 9, and are available for purchase through AADE Registration. Tickets are $75 per person for registered Annual Meeting attendees and $100 per guest, and may be purchased prior to August 8, or while quantities last. All tickets are subject to the cancellation policy. This year's entertainment is the Capitol Steps.

Childcare Options

If you plan to bring children with you, please check with your hotel concierge regarding available childcare options. Due to safety concerns and insurance liability, children under the age of 18 are not allowed on the exhibit floor at any time. Additionally, as a consideration to others, children are not permitted in any Annual Meeting function, including all educational sessions and social events.

CDs

Recordings are made of many educational sessions held at the Annual Meeting. Please consult the order form in your onsite registration materials or the CD sales counter in the registration area of the convention center.

The average temperature for Washington D.C. in August is hot, and usually humid, 88 degrees.

The attire for the conference is business casual during the day and resort casual for the hospitality events.

Americans With Disabilities Act Accommodations

Registrants who need specialized accommodations to participate in AADE’s Annual Meeting should check the “Yes” box under Disability Accommodations on the Meeting Registration Form. Someone from AADE will call to discuss how we may assist you.

Exhibit-Only Badges

Badges for the exhibit floor only (age 18 & over) are $100 each and may only be purchased onsite. Exhibits-only badges are nonrefundable and do not include evening social events.

Ground Transportation

Transportation to all area hotels and attractions is located on the lower level in the baggage claim area of the airport. Airport Shuttle Service: approximate cost between the airport and the convention center is between $25 and $45 round trip. Taxis: one-way fare between the airports and the convention center is approximately $20 from Reagan, $50 from Dulles, and $40 from Baltimore.
