Overview of the Certification Renewal Process
Certification Renewal occurs every 5 years.
Please check your certification certificate for your expiration date or email bcadm@aadenet.org
Recertification Requirements:
- Complete and minimum of 1,000 practice hours over the 5-year certification period.
- Obtain Continuing Education hours/credits over the 5 year certification period. (There are other options; see page 2 of the BC-ADM Renewal Eligibility Criteria
- 51% of continuing education hours/credit must be directly related to advanced diabetes management (your specialty area).
Continuing education is divided into five categories. All candidates must fulfill 2 of the 5 continuing education categories. Any one can be doubled. See the BC-ADM Renewal Eligibility Criteria for additional details and the forms required for certification renewal.
Recertification Fees:
- $500.00 - AADE Members
- $800.00 - Non AADE members not wishing to become a member of AADE
*$150 International Testing Fee (if applicable)
