The AADE Education and Research Foundation funds projects that advance the AADE Research Agenda. The focus of these activities is to gather evidence and translate the best scientific findings to support behavior change to achieve optimal patient health outcomes. This project investigated factors that relate to patients' ability to access diabetes self-management education. It involved three study opoulations, physicians, diabetes eduators and diabetes patients.
Result of a randomized controlled trial that examined the impact of CDEs delivering MNT. The study concluded that such care is an important component of comprehensive diabetes care and improved glycemic control.
This study aimed to improve medication self-care for people with diabetes. Effective interventions include patient education.
