New for 2010: Emerging Technologies Pavilion
With the explosion of smart phones and new applications for those devices, there are many new
tools for diabetes educators and patients to monitor and manage diabetes statistics. In addition,
many companies are looking at new ways to integrate diabetes education into video game systems,
personal computers and more. This pavilion on the AADE exhibit floor will demo the newest
technologies from up-and-coming companies.

All AADE exhibitors invite attendees to a complimentary breakfast, lunch, or snack. At
registration on-site, attendees will receive a coupon valued at $10 towards the purchase of food or

Get the most from your exhibition experience

Look over the list of exhibitors before you arrive. If you’re new to the industry,
spend most of your time walking the floor, checking out all of the products and services and making
contacts with a variety of people.

Set a Schedule. Once you have a general idea of who is going to be exhibiting, set
a schedule. This can be strict or fluid, but it’s a good idea to know what you need to accomplish
and create a basic timeline.

Make appointments. If you can’t schedule appointments before you arrive, swing by
the company’s booth on the first morning of the show.

Take notes. You might want to set a two-hour rule: after two hours on the floor,
you take a break, have a cup of coffee, and jot down anything that has happened or occurred.

Be flexible! If your plan isn’t working—change it. There are so many paths you can
take at the Annual Meeting Exhibit Hall, don’t be afraid to try a few.
