If you are an ADCES coordinating body (CB) or a local networking group (LNG), the following information is not applicable to your CE activities. For your specific application materials, please visit ADCES Connect.

A Jointly Accredited Provider
In support of improving patient care, the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the health care team.

By partnering with us, you can award continuing education credit to dietitians, nurses, PAs, pharmacists, physicians and social workers with just one application. Learning formats include in-person meetings, live online events, recorded webinars and online courses.

Benefits of Joint Providership With ADCES
This program is not open to ACCME-defined ineligible companies (i.e., any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing health care goods or services used on or consumed by patients). Providers of direct-to-patient clinical services are not included in this definition.
Joint Providership Application Process and Deadlines
CE/CME Process
The ACCME defines joint providership of a CME activity by one or more accredited and one or more non-accredited organizations. Therefore, jointly accredited providers like ADCES that plan and present one or more activities with non-accredited providers are engaging in “joint providership.”
Application Eligibility Verification
If you’re interested in entering a joint providership (i.e., JointCE) partnership with ADCES, you must first complete the eligibility verification form and meet all eligibility requirements. Verification forms that do not meet eligibility requirements will be rejected without substantive review.
Planning Form Instructions & Guidelines
When developing educational programs with Joint Accreditation criteria, all planners and speakers must follow multiple important instructions. Please use the following guide when completing your planning for CE/CME credit.

Partnerships with Medical Education Entities
Partnerships with medical education entities require additional review/consideration to ensure content validity and accreditation compliance.
If you’re looking for ADCES to provide CE accreditation pricing for your RFP, we do not partner solely to provide a statement of credit for diabetes care and education specialists.

Before contacting us, please check that you meet the following.
Preliminary Requirements for Medical Education Entities
You must provide us with at least a two-week timeline to review faculty, proposed content learning objectives, outline and method of delivery. We cannot accept urgent requests.
ADCES must accredit your educational activity with at least one professional discipline credit type under our joint accreditation status (e.g., nurses, dietitians, PAs, pharmacists, physicians and/or social workers).
