The AADE Education and Research Foundation funds projects that advance the AADE Research Agenda to enhance the practice of diabetes self-management education. The focus of these activities is to gather evidence and translate the best scientific findings to support behavior change to achieve optimal patient health outcomes.
Current Grant Opportunities
Sigma Theta Tau International/AADE Foundation Grant for 2016
The AADE Education and Research Foundation and Sigma Theta Tau International (Nursing Honor Society) are offering a joint $6,000 grant for a research project in the field of diabetes education. The Principal Investigator must be an RN with at least a Master’s degree. Team members can be from other disciplines. The applicant must be a member of AADE and Sigma Theta Tau at the time of application.
The proposed project should be one that can be completed in a 12-month time period. The proposal narrative is limited to six pages of text, single-spaced with font size no smaller than 12 point. The application and separate project abstract should precede the narrative. Funds from this grant may not be used to support institutional indirect costs. Grant Awards are made collaboratively with AADE Foundation and STTI. Notification letters and communication with the Principal Investigator/Institution comes from AADE Foundation.
