Because of support from diabetes care and education specialists just like you, the ADCES Foundation is able to drive research, education and professional development opportunities that promote optimal health outcomes for people with diabetes, prediabetes and cardiometabolic conditions. Join the largest giving movement in the world on Tuesday, November 30, and give back to the diabetes care and education specialty through the ADCES Foundation. 

Here are just a few of the projects your donations fund:

Grants

Grants supporting innovative diabetes care and education services in communities across the U.S.. Most recently we supported programs in California, North Carolina, Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Utah and New Hampshire that addressed socioeconomic barriers to care. Learnings from Foundation-funded projects are released throughout the year, so check back regularly to get the latest updates.

Fellowships

A mentored post-doctoral fellowship in integrated diabetes management to support emerging leaders in research and diabetes care. Learn about 2021 recipient Kelsey Howard, Ph.D. and her project to address barriers to continuous glucose monitoring use and check out the 2020 recipient Julia Blanchette Ph.D., RN, CDCES to learn about her research on financial stress in emerging adults with type 1 diabetes.

Scholarships

Scholarships that support equitable access to opportunities for diabetes care and education specialists that help them improve outcomes for patients. Scholarships improve access to trainings like the Lifestyle Coach Training, and events like the ADCES Annual Conference and ADCES Diabetes Tech Conference.
