Out of an overabundance of caution and safety for our guests, ADCES staff will be wearing masks throughout the event. We highly recommend that all participants have also been vaccinated. At this time due to CDC and the City of Chicago guidance, all participants must wear masks. Please continue to watch this site for any changes.
If You Are Sick
If you have a temperature, are showing any potential symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19, or have been in close contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of the event then you need to stay home and request a refund. If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Potential COVID-19 symptoms include:
ADCES will be adhering to the CDC's recent recommendations and requiring that ALL participants (staff, attendees, sponsors, and speakers) wear a mask while indoors at the event - and especially when in close proximity to one another.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the event. Touchless hand sanitizer stations will be available at most venues. By this point, everyone should know that hand washing is important in helping reduce the spread of COVID-19.
We are working with the Hyatt Regency Chicago and are confident that they are doing everything they can as recommended by their local health agencies and required by their management. Please see the steps they are taking to ensure your safety here.
The hotel will be taking extra measures to ensure the cleanliness of all spaces throughout the venue. By attending the 2021 ADCES Diabetes Technology Conference, you agree to abide by and engage in certain health-and-safety beneficial conduct while attending the event. This includes, but is not limited to, self-reporting COVID-19 illness, respectfully abiding by requests from venue and a ADCES staff and excusing yourself from the event if you are ill or have recently been exposed to COVID-19.
Physical Touching is Discouraged (Handshakes, Hugs, or Fist Bumps)
While many at the event are vaccinated and/or not concerned about the health risks that physical touch may present, we request that attendees, speakers, staff, and sponsors respect a “no-touch” policy at the event and highly recommend washing your hands often to prevent illness.
Seating and Spacing
Seating will be spaced with the recommended distance between attendees as determined by the venue and the city of Chicago.
Food and Beverage
We will be working with the Hyatt Regency Chicago to revise how food and beverage services will be provided to minimize exposure/risk.
We strongly recommend our guests be vaccinated
