CORE Concepts® Course Online

The goal of ADCES' Online CORE Concepts® Course is to increase knowledge of the diabetes disease state, sharpen clinical management skills and highlight diabetes self-management education (DSME) techniques and tools that are most appropriate for assuring successful outcomes to the AADE7 Self-Care Behaviors.

Over 9 weeks, course facilitators will lead participants through an exploration of the scientific basis for diabetes education and care while artfully applying concepts to patient situations through case studies and online discussion. The course includes four reading weeks and five discussion weeks, including pre-work reading that will be required prior to the official start of the session.

The discussion weeks will focus on the review of case studies and interaction on the online communication forum.  Registrants can expect course information to be emailed approximately one week before the start of the session with online access provided a few days before the official start of the session. (30 CE)
