Lifestyle Coach Training

Gain the knowledge and skills you need to implement a CDC-recognized lifestyle change program to prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. This is your chance to help people with prediabetes reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes by 58%, advance health equality and improve population health.

Lifestyle Coach Training includes:

  • A comprehensive overview of the PreventT2 Curriculum and essential CDC materials including the PreventT2 Lifestyle Coach Training Guide and Participant Guide  

  • Hands-on practice in motivational interviewing, supporting health behavior change, facilitating self-management skills, and group facilitation

  • Additional ADCES materials that help you assess participant readiness, develop dynamic and cohesive groups, and stay on track for CDC recognition

  • 6 months complementary access to ADCES Prevention Network to receive technical support, billing and coverage information, marketing templates, and more

  • 12 CE for nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists

What is a Lifestyle Change Superhero?

A National DPP Lifestyle Coach, of course! An accessible, collaborative, and culturally competent peer educator, health promoter, community health worker, or diabetes care and education specialist trained in CDC’s PreventT2 curriculum to provide effective guidance and support for program participants.
