ADCES in Practice includes a wide variety of articles. The one commonality is they offer diabetes care and education specialists and all healthcare professionals involved in caring for people with diabetes practical advice and direction for incorporating diabetes education best practices into their day-to-day activities. 

The journal includes feature articles as well as columns on particular aspects of diabetes care. Below is are some of those areas, alone with sample articles.  


Features: These articles are in-depth explorations of a variety of topics of interest to the diabetes care and education specialist. Case studies are welcome. The focus is on practical strategies for applying best practices, along with implementation examples or illustrations and the results.

Patient Stories: We all have interesting patients we like to talk about, without mentioning names of course. But sometimes our patients have a story to tell, too. We welcome stories from patients about their experience with diabetes, how diabetes has affected their lives and relationships, how they have achieved their dreams, what impact their diabetes care and education specialist has had on them, etc. Stories can be inspiring, provocative, controversial, informative, motivational or anything that may have a useful message for readers.

Practice Pearls: These are are short, timely, relevant tips, advice ideas or motivational messages for practicing diabetes care and education specialists.
