AADE and Movéo, a strategic branding firm, are hard at work laying the path for creating a more sustainable future for the diabetes education profession. In August, Movéo began a formative research project through a series of interviews with key stakeholders. These findings formed the basis of two formalized research studies to capture important patient and provider perspectives. In addition, Movéo conducted seven, in-depth payer interviews. To round out the research, AADE will issue a survey to all members on Tuesday, December 19 to gather your valuable input. Make sure to check your email!
The next step in this strategic process is a visioning workshop. On January 13, 20 stakeholders will gather to review all research, work through guided exercises and have in-depth discussions. The goal of this workshop is to arrive at a consensus for a vision statement to present to the AADE Board of Directors for review and final approval.
AADE is excited and optimistic about this project and looks forward to positioning diabetes educators and the Association to succeed in the years to come. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.
