On behalf of AADE Board President Nancy D’Hondt, I’d like to invite Coordinating Body Chairs to the 2017 AADE Public Policy Forum (PPF), which will be held on May 5-6 in Rosemont, Illinois at the Hilton Rosemont Hotel.
Given the current changes in our health care systems nationally and at the state level, advocacy is more important than ever. At the PPF we will give you a comprehensive and thoughtful overview of the issues and the skills you need to help make the voices of diabetes educators and your patients heard. There will be a wide range of policy and advocacy perspectives presented by advocacy professionals and AADE members engaged in advocacy.
The 2017 PPF is an opportunity for you to meet other AADE activists, help expand and improve our advocacy program and, most importantly, talk about your ideas for making this advocacy program successful.
As a CB Chair, AADE will pay registration costs and two nights at the Hilton Rosemont Hotel. You will be responsible for your airfare to and from Chicago, your transportation to and from the hotel (there is a free airport shuttle), and meals not supplied during the program. If you are unable to attend, your CB should designate a member who can be sent in your place. Please be sure to let me know if you are sending someone in your place.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me.
We hope to see you there!
