Need Ideas for the CB and COI Networking Event?

Jun 14, 2017

The CB and COI Networking Event will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm in JW Marriott Ballrooms 1-4 at the JW Marriott.

Suggestions to make your table more interesting for the Annual Networking Event from posting on our Leaders Forum:

Melanie Teslik RN, CDE posted:  “Tables that offered food are a crowd favorite. Some tables offered raffles or educational information. One state was selling T-shirts. Another state had buttons for their state members so that you would be able to identify individuals throughout the convention who were from your state.”

One year, New York honored a peer who had passed away. Many members from other states came to share stories on how she had impacted their life or involvement in AADE.

Lucille Hughes, RN,MSN/ED, CDE, BCADM, FAADE posted:

“We bring some items with us and we mail some larger items ahead. I believe this year the NY table will offer a game. We noticed last year many CBs had fun games at their table and we have decided to give it a try ourselves”

AADE Vol Ky CB Leader posted: “As a member of the Ky CB, I have had the opportunity to attend several of these wonderful networking events. We usually discuss and decide what we want to bring as we plan for the event during our conference calls. We then decide who will bring what. Some of our members have mailed some of the larger items, and some carry materials with them. Being from Ky , "The Bourbon Capital of the World", we have used Bourbon balls as a draw to the table. This works very well. As far as getting them there, there have been years where a member drove them there by car, or at times a member has flown with them. "Where there's a will---there's a way! As far as manning the table, all members who attend the conference take turns, so that other members can go around and visit other tables.”
