We are pleased to share that AADE – in conjunction with American Diabetes Association, JDRF, Insulin for Life, Endocrine Society, T1D Exchange, Research!America, and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists have been awarded a Power of (A) Gold Award for our collaboration on assisting hurricane victims last year! While we did it to assist those who were in need, it is nice to recieve the acknowledgment of our peers.
ASAE announced the Gold and Silver winners of the 2018 Power of A Awards, which recognize associations that distinguish themselves with innovative, effective and broad-reaching programs and activities that positively impact America and the world.
ASAE is honoring 16 associations with a Power of A Gold Award this year, and 34 associations with a Power of A Silver Award. The awards highlight the association community’s valuable contributions to society on the local, national and global level. They honor the outstanding accomplishments of associations and industry professionals in the areas of strengthening lives, forging a more trained and highly competitive workforce, enhancing the economy, driving innovation and making a better world.
The honorees, including six Summit Award winners to be announced soon, will be formally recognized at the Annual Summit Awards Dinner October 3 at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. We hope to see you there.
“Congratulations to the 2018 Power of A Award winners. There are very few things that get done, very few ideas that get implemented, without an association being involved at some point in the process,” said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham, IV, FASAE, CAE. “That’s a story we can all be proud of, and one that deserves to be shared with others to create a deeper understanding and appreciation for associations and their role in the world.”
