Does anyone know of adaptive devices or had success in teaching post-stroke patients with hemiparesis how to use insulin pens?

I think this is a great idea! I belong to the SPG for inpt educators, but I often encounter issues that go beyond the inpt. setting, ie a small diabetes summer camp I coordinate and this will give me the opportunity to ask questions on this topic. I also work with an number of "problem teens" or gestational DM clients. One question I have for the gest DM educators, any resources for the Hatian mom to be? I found the diet info from U. of Ga. but that's it!

I am so excited about AADE's new blog! After attending the Core Concepts of Diabetes course in Boston, MA this February, I was inspired by Amber McCulloch (AADE Communications Manager) to blog as part of my clinical project for school (RN-BSN program) and to document my journey towards obtaining my CDE. So far, blogging has been fun, but definitely harder than I thought it would be! The biggest personal challenge has been making connections with other bloggers, but I'm learning to navigate the system. This blog should definitely help me forge the path of communicating online and will be a great resource for me! Thanks AADE! Carrie
