AADE is pleased to announce that the 2018 Public Policy Forum will take place June 8 - 9 at the Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare. Please mark your calendar for an energizing weekend full of fascinating discussion regarding diabetes, health policy and learning how to get diabetes educators involved in advocacy and public policy issues.
The desired outcome of the Public Policy Forum will be a more targeted and effective approach to advocacy by:
- Educating AADE members on best practices to establish and strengthen long-term relationships with their legislators
- Teaching members how to effectively utilize various aspects of social media such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram as advocacy vehicles
- Building our members' knowledge on key advocacy issues such as Diabetes Action Plans, non-medical switching and expanded referral
Registration for the event will begin in early 2018.
