It was my absolute pleasure to recently accept the position of Online Community Program Manager here at AADE, where I am the newest member of a hardworking, enthusiastic staff that are here to help serve our members.

My main focus in this role will be on MY AADE NETWORK, a tool that I believe is one of the greatest member benefits that this association offers- a website dedicated to providing a space where members can join Communities of Interest, network with educators in similar positions as their own, confer with members in their local area, ask questions in a friendly environment and solicit their peers’ knowledge and experience. A place where our members can go for up-to-date information and resources that are aggregated by you, our tireless volunteers.

I’m coming on board at a time when MY AADE NETWORK is flourishing and offering a wealth of resources for our users, and I have joined a team made up of staff that genuinely care about their members and strive to maintain and grow this well-established platform. I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to help shape this network and see that we make it a tool that every member is aware of and feels comfortable utilizing to help them in their professional life.

I have worked in the medical association world for some time now and have worn many different hats over the years. I’ve been a staff writer, I’ve worked in journal publications, I was an editor in education, and I managed and produced website content. On the career path I’ve taken, what I have found that I truly enjoy the most is working with volunteers. It’s rewarding to meet people like you who want to play an active role in their community and help their fellow members however they can. I’m excited to hear out your ideas and try to help see them come to fruition. 

I’m looking forward to settling in, getting more involved with the site and seeing what we can do together to help it grow into an even more robust member benefit.
