Announcing a New AADE Member Resource!

Jul 11, 2018

AADE has launched AADE CaseShare, a members-only repository of case studies.  The cases were written by multidisciplinary teams of diabetes educators, and cover a variety of DSMES-related topics. Designed as a virtual consultation resource, AADE members can review the index of cases to find potential solutions to your own challenging cases.

Fifty AADE members voluntarily worked together on teams to develop the initial set of cases. We thank all of them for their time and interest in sharing their expertise with their AADE colleagues. We will be expanding CaseShare with cases contributed by AADE’s Communities of Interest (COI), Practice Area Discussion Groups, Coordinating Bodies (CB), and Local Network Groups (LNG), as well as other contributors.

The knowledge base of diabetes management—clinical guidelines, best practices, and technical skills—is the science of diabetes management, and is acquired through on-going education and training. The strategies and nuances for individualizing education to provide the best care for people with diabetes? That’s the art of diabetes management, and is more challenging to learn. We hope these case studies provide an additional practice resource to members.

Do you have a case that you would like to share with your AADE colleagues? Please review the criteria for submitting your case for consideration in CaseShare: CaseShare Criteria.
