2018 National Diabetes Education Week Focuses on Mental Health

Every year AADE carves out the first full week of November to highlight the importance of diabetes educators and their contribution to the health of people with diabetes. We also work to provide diabetes educators with new tools and resources.

Happenings in AADE’s Diabetes Education Accreditation Program (DEAP)

We are wrapping up a busy year for DEAP and now have over 850 accredited programs with over 2100 sites delivering diabetes education. Our online application system is being updated so we will be launching a newer, more flexible and user-friendly version in 2019.


Welcomed Additions to MY AADE NETWORK

Last month, MY AADE NETWORK added two new communities to the website for our members to join and share in. One of the site’s most active Practice Area Discussion Groups moved up the ranks and became a Community of Interest, and another Practice Area Group was formed out of a growing need.

2019 CB and COI Leader Terms

The terms for CB and COI Leaders follow the National AADE BOD terms: January 1 - December 31. Please be sure that your team is in place no later than January 1. If your team has changed already, please note that the current team will serve until December 31, 2019.
