AADE Diabetes Prevention Program

In 2012, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) selected AADE as one of six partner organizations to assist in expanding the reach of the National Diabetes Prevention Program. This is an exciting opportunity because it highlights the leadership role that diabetes educators can play in diabetes prevention efforts. An overarching goal of this project is to make the Lifestyle Change Program a covered healthcare benefit for people with prediabetes.
