AADE Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach Training
AADE currently has an MOU to deliver the CDC Approved Lifestyle Coach Training Entity, and we are listed on CDC’s website.
AADE now offers interested parties with the opportunity to participate in a Lifestyle Coach Training (LSC) to acquire the necessary skills to deliver a successful National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) at your site. This training is based on the curriculum developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with additional insight from AADE DPP who has been working with DSME sites nationwide to guide them on effective delivery of the National DPP. AADE can provide the two day in-person training and web-based learning resources to DSME sites, individual Diabetes Educators, or staff at organizations that are interested in delivering a quality DPP program with trained staff.
Upon completion of the training, attendees will be designated "Lifestyle Coaches," and will be confident to enable participants to make long-lasting lifestyle changes to better their health and to educate community members on how the National DPP can prevent/delay type 2 diabetes.
