Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) - Effective Health Care Program

The Effective Health Care Program funds individual researchers, research centers, and academic organizations to work with the AHRQ to produce effectiveness and comparative effectiveness research (CER) for clinicians, consumers, and policy makers.  Resources include Research Summaries and Continuing Education activities.

The Autonomy Trial was a randomized trial that compared efficacy and safety of 2 algorithms for initiation and titration of prandial insulin lispro in people with type 2 diabetes who did not have adequate glycemic control using basal insulin plus oral medications.

Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)

PCORI is an independent, non-profit organization authorized by Congress. PCORI's mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers, and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed health care decisions.
