This program is designed to improve learner knowledge and competence in managing glycemic control in patients with diabetes by providing timely treatment intensification according to the guidelines and applying evidence-based treatment strategies for people with diabetes. The certified portion of this program consists of 3 presentations and a podcast.

Course Completion

After you have completed the coursework, you will take the final assessment. It has 9 multiple-choice questions. Your overall course completion will be based upon successfully passing the final assessment with a score of 70% or better. You will get three (3) tries to pass the assessment.

After you successfully complete the final assessment, you will get access to a statement of credit, showing the CE credit you earned. Please print it for your records. (Note, you will be able to return to print it later, if needed.)

For successful completion, participants are required to complete all 3 presentations and the podcast in their entirety, successfully pass the final assessment, and submit the program evaluation at the conclusion of the educational event. Contact education@adces.org in the event you choose not to complete the evaluation form.

Learning Objectives

• Explain the role of CGM in reducing postprandial hyperglycemia, increasing time in range, improving A1C, and reducing diabetes stress.
• Compare and contrast available and emerging CGM devices.
• Employ a stepped approach to reviewing and interpreting CGM data in order to develop a personalized management plan with patients.
• Collaborate with the diabetes healthcare team (i.e., specialist, primary care clinician, diabetes educator) to improve adoption of CGM devices in practice.
