BlueStar®, a Welldoc app, uses artificial intelligence (AI) to give individuals with diabetes personalized, real-time coaching. The user’s health data and clinical guidelines help form the app’s coaching messages.

Access to the BlueStar diabetes app requires an enrollment code supplied by the user’s health insurance plan, health system or employer.

BlueStar is covered by numerous health plans throughout the U.S. and pricing varies by plan. Patients need an access code from their provider or health plan to access BlueStar. BlueStar does NOT require a prescription except for use of the insulin calculator.
